What We’re About

THE quintessential MAGAZINE is an original new digital publication that focuses on the covetable and creative. Launched in November 2012 and edited and curated by Tracy Lines and Leanne Carter-Taylor, this stunning bi-monthly magazine celebrates all things quintessential by combining an intriguing blend of beautiful photography, interactive features and videos with inspiring stories.

Curator Leanne Carter-Taylor (owner of the much-loved duckeggBLUE stores) and editor Tracy Lines (formerly lifestyle publisher at Murdoch Books and longstanding creative director of Inside Out magazine) head the team of clever collaborators. Leanne’s discerning eye and commitment to quality and Tracy’s in-depth editorial knowledge and design direction make for a great editorial partnership.

What We’re Up To

Enduring style is at the very heart of THE quintessential MAGAZINE. In each edition, we aim to evoke emotion and encourage creativity. We connect the past with the present, share the history of the pieces we covet and treasure, and tell the rich and varied stories – and the occasional secret – of the people we work with and meet. Longevity, integrity and craftsmanship – values that can be overlooked in our busy lives today – are applauded and explored in our regular features.
